Located between Monterey and Pebble Beach at the tip of the Monterey Peninsula, Pacific Grove was originally founded in 1875 as a Methodist retreat.
This quaint and charming town is now proud to call itself 'The Last Hometown, USA' and is also famously known as 'Butterfly Town' in honor of the Monarch Butterflies that over winter there.
The city also has within its boundaries one of the Peninsula's most famous attractions, Point Pinos Lighthouse, the oldest working lighthouse in California.
